Philip Blankenship

Senior Pastor
I came to serve Mt. Tabor in 2014 as Senior Pastor. I am a graduate of
Samford University, Beeson Divinity School: D. Min. 2016 “Developing Divine Intimacy through Daily
Prayer and Bible Reading.” I also have a MDiv from
Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, School of Theology, 2001 and a B.A. in Christian Studies from North Greenville University, 1997.
The primary enjoyment of being a pastor for me is building relationships with God and the people, I also
enjoy the study in preparation to preach, teach, the counseling or opportunities to speak at an event. The office of pastor presents many diverse opportunities to make a difference. Day to day, you never know exactly what will happen. Encouraging those that are discouraged, weddings, funerals, hospital visits, etc there is never a dull moment. I am thankful to be a Pastor at MTBC.
I married to my best friend and wife Mikki Blankenship in 2001. We have three wonderful children, Seth, Abi, and Maggie.
Daniel Nally

Pastor of Students and Families
I have the best job in the world. I have been serving at Mount Tabor since October 2017. I have been married to my wife, Madi, since June 2018 and love working alongside her.
God called me into youth ministry when I was a teenager, and after graduating from Toccoa Falls College in 2017 with a degree in youth ministry, I jumped right in. In 2020, I received my Masters in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. My passion is to see students come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord in their lives. My greatest desire is to see them become faithful disciples even after graduating high school.
In my free time, I love playing disc golf. I have played in a few tournaments and play weekly with friends. I also help coach the Pendleton baseball team and enjoy investing in students on the field.
Reg Slaton

Minister of Music
I started attending MTBC in 2009 and began serving at the Music Minister in 2010
I have Bachelors Degree from Clemson University in Computer Science Engineering.
An aspect of my job that I love is connecting people to God through worship in music. It is all about exulting Christ and encouraging people through music.
I have been married to my marvelous wife Robin for 32 years. We have 5 children 3 grandchildren. In my spare time I love watching baseball and fishing.
Madi Nally

Children's Director
It is my great honor to serve as the Children’s Director at Mount Tabor. I joined the church in 2018 after marrying Daniel, the youth pastor here. We have one elderly cat named Felicia, and a few spiders that would like to take up residence in our house. I grew up in North Carolina but love living in this corner of South Carolina.
I have always loved working with children. I graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a degree in Elementary Education. I started serving in the nursery and began teaching children’s church soon after becoming a member. In 2022 I became the Children’s Director. There are so many things I love about the job – planning events, going to ball games, working with volunteers – but what I love most is seeing the heart change in children and their parents. My biggest desire is to help parents as they raise their tiny disciples to love God and love others.
In my spare time, I love to have my house full of family, friends, and good food. I love to play board games, read good books, and crochet blankets.
